Your Perfect Writing Space

Assuming you might be trying mine and James Clear’s advice (and attaching your writing habits to other habits you already have) what about where we write? Is the space in which you write important to you?

Making time to write our memoirs

So when I say that I hear, “I’m going to make time,” or “I must make time,” it’s not that I don’t believe people. I do and I do everything in my power to encourage them. But what isn’t true, is that we can make time.

The Lost Bookmark

Sometime over Christmas, my husband and I watched the multi-award-winning psychological drama The Lost Daughter. If you’ve seen it, you know. If you haven’t, I urge you to watch it. It is spellbinding.

Memoir – My Takeaways of 2021

It’s coming to the end of the year, when I start to feel even more reflective than usual. So I thought I’d have a look at my list of current authors and the courses I teach and see what has been learned, or what wisdom has been reinforced, this year. If you’re writing memoir, or considering it, there’s a nugget, or two, for you here I’m sure!

Frightened? You’re Not Alone…

It’s Halloween, so what better time to talk about some things that scare us?
I’m not talking about the Overlook Hotel, or more more mildly, things that go bump in the night. I mean the fears you might have about coming along to one of my memoir writing events.
